The American Heart Association is thrilled to have an outstanding opportunity for a Project Manager, Business Operations at our National Center office in Dallas, TX. This position can be home-based. This is a full-time, benefits eligible, grant funded opportunity. Current funding will expire on July 30, 2028, with the possibility of extension. The Project Manager, Business Operations supports and drives various process improvement, streamlining, and strategic initiatives. The Project Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with both BT and Business teams to enhance operational efficiency, visibility, and accountability across projects. This role will help the Quality, Outcomes, Research, and Analytics department build systems and processes that support efficiency and growth. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects focused on process improvement, operational efficiency, and strategic growth.
  • Perform project management duties including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing assigned projects as needed and assigned.
  • Work closely with business and BT teams to implement standardized tools, workflows, and reporting structures.
  • Support the development and implementation of project tracking, reporting, and accountability frameworks.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to improve overall efficiency.
  • Facilitate project kickoffs, checkpoints, and close-outs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Assist in the development of dashboards, reporting tools, and data-driven insights to improve decision-making.
  • Support the roll-out of new initiatives, business models, and operational enhancements.
  • Maintain oversight of project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.
  • Establish trusting, open, motivating, and influential relationships with colleagues as a foundation for monitoring, evaluation, and learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Three (3) years of experience in project management.
  • Excellent organizational skills, project management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and perform well during increased workload.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and/or Salesforce CRM is preferred.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma Process Improvement preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% nationally with overnight stay.
