The Business Strategy & Operations Coordinator at 1-800 Contacts plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective execution of business operations and strategic initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring business operations to ensure efficiency and alignment with company goals.
  • Act as a central point of coordination between departments to enable smooth workflows and communication.
  • Oversee resource allocation and scheduling for operational and strategic projects.
  • Collaborate with leadership to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans and initiatives.
  • Lead assigned initiatives end-to-end, reporting back to key stakeholders on progress and outcomes.
  • Track and report on the progress of strategic projects, identifying and resolving barriers to execution.
  • Support the implementation of new processes, tools, and systems to achieve strategic goals.
  • Evaluate current workflows and recommend process improvements to drive efficiency and scalability.
  • Document and maintain updated standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational success and inform decision-making.
  • Develop and deliver reports to leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support cross-functional teams in managing projects, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Coordinate timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure projects stay on track.
  • Manage the backlog for key teams (data, creative, etc.) and ensure everything needed for the team to execute is prepared.
  • Identify potential problems/blockers and resolve them.
  • Manage contracts, vendor relationships, and procurement processes as needed.
  • Handle operational budgets, invoices, and expense tracking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in operations, product management, project management, or strategy execution roles.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace) and project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
