About the position

The Project Manager for Certification of the propulsion system will support the execution of airplane certification activities specifically for the Boeing 777X program. This role involves leading a team through various testing phases, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and managing the integration of products onto the aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Support executing airplane certification activities for Boeing 777X program for propulsion team.
• Lead a team to conduct tests, compile test sequences, monitor test progress, and record test activities while troubleshooting unforeseen events.
• Participate in test readiness reviews, safety reviews, and data/control systems checkout to minimize risk.
• Support development assurance requirements validation and verification activities along with critical system safety assessments.
• Work with suppliers to integrate products onto the airplane.
• Coordinate internally to meet system and airplane requirements across multiple functions.
• Assist in developing design solutions to support product improvements.
• Author certification documents such as equipment qualification tests, certification test plans/reports/summaries, system safety assessments, and system description documentation.
• Manage and prioritize multiple tasks in support of certification schedules.
• Communicate project status, risks, issues, and opportunities to program leadership.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Aerospace Environmental Testing such as thermal testing and vibration testing per RTCA DO-160/MIL-STD-810.
• Experience working with 14 CFR Part 25 and EASA CS-25 aspects.
• General ability to lead a team and manage test activities.
• Experience with regulatory agencies' procedures and processes.
• Knowledge of integration, verification, and certification processes.
• Knowledge of Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) and Airworthiness Directives (ADs).
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
