About the position

The Project Manager for Certification of Propulsion Systems will support the Boeing 777X program by executing airplane certification activities specifically for the propulsion team. This role involves leading a team through various testing phases, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and managing the development of certification documents.

Responsibilities

• Support executing airplane certification activities for Boeing 777X program for propulsion team.
• Lead a team to conduct tests, compile test sequences, monitor test progress, and record test activities.
• Participate in test readiness reviews, safety reviews, and data/control systems checkout to minimize risk.
• Work with suppliers to integrate products onto the airplane.
• Coordinate internally to meet system and airplane requirements across multiple functions.
• Assist in developing design solutions to support product improvements.
• Support the authoring of certification documents such as equipment qualification tests and certification test plans/reports/summaries.
• Manage and prioritize multiple tasks in support of certification schedules.
• Communicate project status, risks, issues, and opportunities to program leadership.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Aerospace Environmental Testing such as thermal testing and vibration testing per RTCA DO-160/MIL-STD-810.
• Experience working with 14 CFR Part 25 and EASA CS-25 aspects.
• General ability to lead a team and troubleshoot unforeseen events during tests.
• Experience with regulatory agencies' procedures and processes.
• Knowledge of integration, verification, and certification processes.
• Knowledge of Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) and Airworthiness Directives (ADs).
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
