About the position

A leading organization in Philadelphia is seeking a skilled Project Manager - Change Management to play a pivotal role in a transformative national fleet program that aims to redefine passenger rail travel in the U.S. This role is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced project manager to oversee moderate complexity projects or significant components of larger programs, ensuring that change control processes are rigorously followed and that all aspects of project delivery meet the highest standards of efficiency and effectiveness. The Project Manager will utilize their technical expertise and experience in change management to drive project objectives, foster stakeholder collaboration, and ensure the successful execution of initiatives that will enhance fleet reliability, expand service capacity, and ultimately improve customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Support change control by tracking potential changes and ensuring budget, schedule, and project impacts are communicated to stakeholders and project management.
  • Serve as a liaison to engage stakeholders, identifying and socializing the impacts of decisions or changes within assigned projects and across the broader program.
  • Maintain change management tools.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective project task execution.
  • Assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving relevant stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility.
  • Secure adequate resources, materials, and funding by working with impacted areas of the company.
  • Perform maintenance, updating, and tracking of project schedule activities and progress reporting.
  • Identify and manage dependencies between departments, systems, vendors, and assets.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external resources and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and document project issues and risks, and monitor the progress of mitigation actions.
  • Develop and maintain required project management artifacts in accordance with organizational standards and applicable regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in project management and change management.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
