About the position

The Project Manager, Civil Engineer at the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) is responsible for initiating, scheduling, and implementing a variety of aviation-related projects as part of the MAC Capital Improvement Program (CIP). This role involves overseeing civil engineering development projects at the Minneapolis Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) and other Reliever Airports, ensuring adherence to budget and cost accountability while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate, schedule, and implement aviation-related projects outlined in the MAC Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
  • Oversee the development of design studies, project plans, specifications, and reports for CIP projects.
  • Work directly with architectural, engineering, and construction management consultants.
  • Direct consultants in the preparation of feasibility studies and preliminary reports to establish costs, priorities, and timing for projects.
  • Collaborate with other MAC departments, municipalities, airport tenants, and governmental jurisdictions as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in project management, particularly in civil engineering or aviation-related projects.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices related to airport infrastructure.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience with airport operations and regulations.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and cost management in engineering projects.
