About the position

As a Project Manager in Atwell's Civil Engineering group, you will lead diverse projects in land development, collaborating with teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. This role emphasizes mentorship, technical expertise, and the ability to analyze complex data, all while fostering a dynamic work environment that supports career growth.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the production team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents.
  • Analyze project survey data and existing site conditions, including legal descriptions and easement documents.
  • Guide and mentor junior staff to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
  • Prepare reports, opinions, and recommendations related to hydrology, project schedules, and storm sewer systems.
  • Provide construction-related services and direct junior team members in permit applications and quantity estimates.
  • Utilize engineering software, particularly AutoCAD Civil 3D, to complete assignments on time and within budget.
  • Develop Project Manager skills through training and mentoring for future growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in civil engineering and project management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret survey data and legal documents.
  • Excellent leadership and mentorship abilities to guide junior staff.
  • Proficiency in engineering software, especially AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Technical expertise in preparing engineering reports and studies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in land development projects.
  • Familiarity with hydrology and hydraulic studies.
  • Previous experience in a consulting environment.
