CobbFendley is seeking a Project Manager in our Albuquerque, New Mexico office. The successful candidate will apply technical expertise and project management experience to manage project teams on both conventional and unconventional projects. This role requires a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university and a P.E. license in the State of New Mexico or the ability to obtain one within a year. The candidate should have a minimum of 6 years of progressive municipal civil engineering design experience, particularly with municipalities in New Mexico, and must be knowledgeable in AutoCAD Civil 3D, water/wastewater pipeline and facility design, as well as paving and drainage design. The Project Manager will be responsible for performing basic project functions including production coordination, planning, organizing, directing, controlling, financial management, and marketing assistance. They will also function as a lead and mentor to project engineers and technical professionals, perform quality control reviews of completed designs, represent CobbFendley at client meetings, and participate in marketing and proposal preparation efforts. The role requires motivation to work in a dynamic environment with strict deadlines and a commitment to perform responsibilities consistent with industry standards to achieve department and company goals. Responsibilities

  • Manage project teams on conventional and unconventional projects.
  • Perform production coordination, planning, organizing, directing, controlling, financial management, and marketing assistance.
  • Function as a lead and mentor to project engineers and technical professionals.
  • Perform quality control review of completed designs and project tasks.
  • Represent CobbFendley at client meetings and perform client coordination.
  • Participate in marketing and proposal preparation efforts.
  • Develop new clients and projects through existing and new relationships.
  • Perform independent research and delegate changing priorities.
  • Work with minimal supervision and perform self QA/QC of work.
  • Adhere to CobbFendley's safety standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university required.
  • P.E. license in the State of New Mexico required or ability to obtain within one year.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive municipal civil engineering design experience.
  • Recent experience working with Municipalities in New Mexico.
  • Knowledge and capability with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience with water/wastewater pipeline and facility design.
  • Experience with paving & drainage design.
  • Motivation to work in a dynamic environment with strict deadlines.
