About the position

The Project Manager-Clinical Trials is responsible for managing multiple cancer research trials, ensuring compliance with research protocols, and acting as a liaison between patients and healthcare professionals. This role involves screening and enrolling patients, maintaining data submissions, and overseeing investigational drug inventories.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain primary responsibility over the management of multiple cancer research trials
  • Work alongside physicians, nursing staff, and other oncology team members to ensure compliance with research protocols, tests, treatments, and visits
  • Screen, consent, and enroll patients in clinical trials and interact with study sponsors
  • Educate eligible patients on research protocol requirements
  • Complete data and biospecimen submissions and maintain various databases
  • Maintain and monitor investigational drug inventories and oversee drug accountability processes
  • Identify and report adverse events and collaborate with clinical team on symptom management
  • Act as a liaison between patients, physicians, nursing, other clinical staff, and research sponsors
  • Demonstrate extreme attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to make decisions independently

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a nursing, science, or healthcare-related field is required
  • 2 years of healthcare or clinical research experience is required
  • Healthcare-related license if applicable
  • Human Subject Protection and Good Clinical Practices Training through the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) required within 30 days of hire

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in healthcare, research, business, or related discipline is preferred
  • 2 years of experience in research is preferred
  • Clinical research professional certification (i.e., Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) is preferred within 3 years of employment)
