About the position
The Project Manager for Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering will oversee and manage cloud and infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and compliance with industry standards. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in managing complex technical projects, particularly in cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Oversee technical projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet predefined standards.
- Lead and coordinate infrastructure and datacenter projects.
- Guide project teams across various specialties.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration across multiple teams.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and other issues.
- Manage project scope and budget.
- Create and maintain project status reports.
- Track infrastructure project tasks and service delivery.
- Liaise with application teams.
- Schedule meetings with application teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Document meeting minutes.
- Monitor project health.
- Define and track milestones.
- Review processes and drive improvements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, corporate policies, and best practices.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Project Manager within Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering.
- Ideally AWS Cloud certification.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical and technical abilities, with a knack for understanding complex technical issues.
- Solid grasp of SDLC, agile methodologies, and project management principles.
- Proven experience managing AWS Cloud projects.
- Hands-on experience with on-premise or collocated datacenter upgrade/migration projects.
- Skilled in creating and working with dashboards and BI reports.
- Proficient with PowerBI or similar tools.
- Familiar with DevOps practices.
- Adept in using project management tools and techniques like Jira, Agile, and MS Project.
- Experience with ADO & Kanban methodology.
- Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Project management certification.
