About the position

The Project Manager, Commercial Sales at Ziply Fiber is responsible for managing the delivery of high-end products and services within the company's portfolio. This role serves as the primary contact for customers from post-sale to installation, ensuring a smooth customer experience through effective communication and coordination with various departments. The position emphasizes timely project management, customer support, and proactive problem-solving to enhance service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Project manage sales orders from start to finish, analyzing order requirements across various technologies including Ethernet, SDWAN, SIP, and Managed Services.
  • Respond to work order requests from customers, sales account teams, agents, and vendors, arranging for installation, moves, disconnections, or changes of products and services.
  • Arrange and manage installation, negotiate due dates, validate provisioning, and set priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain, assess, and manage risk, impacts, and potential alternatives, escalating issues to management as necessary.
  • Interface with multiple parties (customers, vendors, carriers, sales, provisioning, billing, customer care) to ensure smooth communication and project support.
  • Perform order Root Cause Analysis at both order and process levels.
  • Troubleshoot customer problems and help resolve concerns.
  • Anticipate potential service delivery impediments and proactively escalate to resolution.
  • Facilitate internal meetings with key service delivery principals.
  • Conduct order overview meetings with executive leadership of Ziply's largest customers, including creating and presenting customer-requested information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of customer support experience required.
  • 2+ years of project coordination or project management experience.
  • Project Management Certification preferred.
  • MEF Ethernet Certification preferred.
  • Telecommunications (ISP, MSO, Telcos) experience required.
  • 2+ years of experience with a CRM tool or Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
