About the position
The Project Manager for Construction at NYSERDA will play a crucial role in managing and tracking offshore wind projects to support New York's ambitious climate goals. This position involves overseeing project construction and permitting activities, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and facilitating communication among various stakeholders to promote the responsible and cost-effective development of offshore wind energy.
Responsibilities
- Manage and track NYSERDA's offshore wind projects.
- Interpret and implement administrative requirements of contract documents.
- Focus on project construction and permitting activities.
- Align project schedules and identify risks.
- Ensure on-time delivery of offshore wind projects and supporting infrastructure.
- Engage with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
- Attend meetings and consultations to remain engaged in the development process.
Requirements
- Experience in project management, particularly in construction or energy sectors.
- Knowledge of regulatory processes related to offshore wind energy.
