About the position

The Project Manager Construction at BrightView is responsible for managing and building large-scale commercial landscape site development projects from inception through completion. This role requires extensive field experience and involves working closely with the operations and construction teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. The Project Manager will also serve as the main point of contact for customers, addressing their needs and building strong professional relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Uncover customer's points of pain and develop solutions.
  • Build and maintain trust-based professional relationships.
  • Work at a fast pace with a high sense of urgency.
  • Collaborate with operations team members to leverage expertise.
  • Ensure construction services are delivered according to contract specifications, on budget, and on schedule.
  • Manage cost reports, analyze budget variances, and recommend strategies to lower project costs.
  • Review labor quantities and phases for accurate project tracking.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly job billings.
  • Assist in the preparation of change orders and coordinate receivables and collections.
  • Serve as the main point of contact and trusted advisor to customers on project installation issues.
  • Gather and analyze customer needs and interests, providing solutions to challenges.
  • Deliver timely and accurate reports, financials, schedules, and budgets.
  • Inspect all field work and resolve problems as they arise.
  • Manage labor force and subcontractors to ensure labor budgets are on track.
  • Maintain accurate daily and weekly activity logs and production tracking reports.
  • Dispatch labor and equipment to job sites and manage equipment utilization.
  • Represent the company and build relationships with owners, clients, architects, general contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure the branch operates safely and efficiently at all times.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry with extensive field/build experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Construction Science, or Construction Management preferred.
