About the position

Banesco USA is seeking a consultant Project Manager for its Project Management Office to oversee several 1-3 year projects. The role involves managing all phases of the project life cycle, from initiation to closing, while ensuring adherence to project plans and objectives. The Project Manager will work closely with project sponsors and stakeholders to define project scope, gather requirements, and develop detailed project plans, all while promoting efficiency and continuous improvement in project management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of the assigned projects life cycle: Initiation, Planning, Executing, Controlling, and Closing.
  • Manage multiple project teams with multidisciplinary members.
  • Work with project sponsors and stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
  • Gather requirements and document project vision and objectives.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources effectively.
  • Define, communicate, and manage the project team by establishing roles and responsibilities.
  • Conduct analysis and document functional and nonfunctional requirements.
  • Oversee all incoming and outgoing project documentation.
  • Facilitate and negotiate the resolution of conflicts and issues related to assigned projects.
  • Monitor, control, and document project progress according to PMO standards.
  • Create and facilitate project charters and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Prepare and control project budgets and business cases.
  • Support continuous improvement of project management processes and practices.
  • Influence team members and stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Demonstrate understanding of PMBOK and advanced skills in MS Project.
  • Support the Annual Portfolio Creation process.
  • Ensure project documentation is maintained throughout the project life cycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business related field preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Master's Degree is highly preferred.
  • At least five (5) years of experience as a Project Manager.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, and Jira.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • PMP Certification is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with fluency in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing.
