About the position

The Project Manager / Coordinator (Metal Fabrication) role at Integrity Technical Services involves overseeing and coordinating projects within a small manufacturing business specializing in metal fabrication, welding, and machining. The position requires familiarity with industry processes and the ability to manage project schedules, communicate effectively with suppliers, and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate metal fabrication projects from inception to completion.
• Schedule jobs in the machine shop to ensure timely production.
• Track project progress and manage resources effectively.
• Source, negotiate prices, terms, and delivery for materials needed for projects.
• Interpret production drawings and shop prints for Bill of Materials (BOM) purchasing specifications.

Requirements

• High School Graduate; postsecondary education is a plus.
• Experience or knowledge in the metal fabrication industry, including forming, bending, rolling, punching, stamping, and shearing.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret production drawings.
• Experience scheduling jobs in a machine shop environment.
• Experience with tracking projects and managing timelines.
• Exceptional communication skills for sourcing and negotiating with suppliers.
• Computer literate, with proficiency in ERP systems, Word, and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of CAD (computer-aided design) is a plus.
• Familiarity with ASM (American Society for Metals), AWS (American Welding Society), and ASME (American Society for Mechanical Engineers) is a plus.
