About the position

The Creative Project Manager at Roc Nation will play a vital role in the design team, facilitating the creation of innovative and compelling work across various mediums. This position serves as a key partner to the Creative and Marketing teams, ensuring that projects are completed successfully, accurately, and within budget. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills while managing multiple design initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a central point between the Design team and cross-functional departments to ensure project completion.
  • Maintain and update design team tasks and deadlines, tracking project progress and communication of status.
  • Manage the process for all campaigns, initiatives, and overall design needs, including the proofing process.
  • Oversee all design needs company-wide under strict deadlines across various mediums.
  • Lead daily design team meetings to assess progress on projects.
  • Facilitate weekly creative and marketing meetings to align with marketing leads.
  • Support the team with administrative needs, including correspondence and scheduling meetings.
  • Manage and build vendor relationships, finding new freelancers as needed.
  • Assign individual designer tasks in collaboration with the Art Director.
  • Navigate the creative process independently and collaboratively, negotiating with other teams.
  • Maintain collaborative partnerships with supporting teams, fostering strong relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or BFA in Design or related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience as a creative producer, project manager, or studio manager.
  • Strong interest in the entertainment industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills and proactive initiative.
  • Experience in forming strong team relationships and cross-functional communication.
  • Ability to synthesize information concisely for stakeholders and designers.
  • Experience in creating efficiencies in design and production processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in G-Suite and project management systems, preferably Trello.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and other creative suites is a plus.
  • Solid time management and attention to detail.
