About the position

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing data center projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards. This role involves managing project schedules, budgets, and collaborating with various teams to ensure successful project delivery. The Project Manager will be tasked with assigning responsibilities to team members best suited for specific tasks, making informed decisions to guide project progression, and serving as the primary contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project. This position requires effective communication of project status and progress to executives or the board to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Throughout the project lifecycle, the Project Manager will perform quality control checks to maintain expected standards and adjust project schedules and targets as necessary based on changing needs or financial considerations. The role involves managing multiple data center projects concurrently and collaborating with Project Managers and Field personnel to document project scope, deliverables, goals, risks, blockers, success measures, and required resources. The Project Manager will guide teams through all project phases, including analysis, planning, review, process scheduling, milestones, installation, testing, and final delivery, ensuring that projects remain within scope and meet budgetary, scheduling, and quality requirements. Regular project status updates to management will be essential, along with reviewing and monitoring project budgets and compliance with CTC requirements. The Project Manager will ensure adherence to project contracts, specifications, and documentation, establish and monitor key project metrics, and develop project control and reporting procedures. Planning and leading status review meetings with internal team members, vendors, clients, and other stakeholders will also be part of the role. Additionally, the Project Manager will train, manage, and motivate project teams, resolve team conflicts, and lead initiatives to establish quality objectives for data centers. This position requires a strong understanding of business strategies, goals, and missions within the data center industry, as well as the ability to resolve technical and operational issues as required.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance the company's and department's reputation by exploring new opportunities and adding value.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of business strategies, goals, and missions within the data center industry.
  • Resolve technical and operational issues as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • OSHA 30 Certification required.
  • 5-7 years of experience in data center construction projects preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills within the data center environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Decisiveness and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to delegate tasks effectively.
  • Strong time management skills.
