About the position

The Project Manager will lead the development and siting of carshare stations in Los Angeles and potentially other cities. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including government entities and community groups, to ensure site proposals are feasible and installations are executed on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage GIS resources to develop and update carsharing station siting criteria and expansion plans.
  • Seek out suitable sites for carsharing stations and assess their feasibility and commercial viability.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to develop and promote public surveys for new site suggestions.
  • Collect and track proposals for carsharing station sites.
  • Select suitable sites for carsharing stations and prioritize implementation based on business needs.
  • Develop proposals for new sites and present them to upper management and government partners.
  • Serve as the government liaison and central point of contact between the company and government entities.
  • Report on project progress to key stakeholders.
  • Oversee consultant and vendor relationships related to expansion efforts.
  • Collaborate with government partners to achieve community support for proposed sites.
  • Maintain relationships with local stakeholders and solicit interest for electric carsharing.
  • Draft and submit notice to proceed (NTPs) for approved new sites and initiate work with design/install teams.
  • Lead regular expansion planning meetings and attend design/install review meetings with government entities.
  • Perform site visits with design/install teams and review station site plans and permit applications.
  • Coordinate with design/install teams to establish installation schedules and budgets, ensuring adherence to them.
  • Ensure that permits are acquired on schedule for installations.
  • Coordinate the launch of electric carsharing services at each site with the marketing team and government partners.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in urban design, urban planning, transportation/mobility planning, or a related field.
  • Working understanding of shared mobility, site acquisition, mobility systems design, GIS analysis, electric vehicles, project management, public-private partnerships, utility coordination, and permitting.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities under time-critical conditions.
  • Self-directed with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Positive, cooperative attitude and commitment to fostering team unity.
