About the position

Gejits Infotech Inc is looking for an experienced Project Manager specializing in Data Center and Cloud Migration. This role involves overseeing IT project management duties in large data center environments, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. The position requires extensive experience in cloud migration and collaboration with various stakeholders, including internal and external vendors. This is a remote position based in Austin, Texas, aimed at supporting a direct state client.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of IT project management duties in large data center environments.
• Support Cloud Migration for Data Center Services and Operations.
• Provide program guidance and status reporting to various levels of management.
• Understand IT procurement procedures and budget forecast/analysis.
• Monitor project deliverables and milestones to ensure they are met according to the project plan.
• Facilitate effective communication between team members and stakeholders.
• Work closely with internal and external vendors to meet operational requirements.
• Review critical operational initiatives and regulatory documents.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT project management in large data center environments.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cloud Migration for Data Center Services and Operations.
• Strong consultative skills with experience in program guidance and status reporting.
• Experience in IT procurement procedures and budget forecasting/analysis.
• Ability to monitor project deliverables and milestones effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for facilitating discussions between team members and stakeholders.
• Experience working with internal and external vendors to provision operations requirements.
• Familiarity with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure) and cloud technology concepts.

Nice-to-haves

• 3 years of experience working on government fiscal and budget management supporting data centers.
• 3 years of experience with security assessments and audits to maintain compliance.
• 2 years of experience using tools like Remedy, ITSM, PPM, Archer, Jira, and ServiceNow.
