About the position

The Project Manager for the Data Engineering team will oversee the development of data engineering projects within a home construction company. This role involves setting project guidelines, collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and managing project requirements in an agile environment. The Project Manager will support the team in building ETL processes and data pipelines, ensuring effective communication and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Set project guidelines and manage project scope.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Communicate project requirements effectively.
• Utilize project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Engage stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support the data engineering team in building ETL processes and data pipelines.

Requirements

• 6+ years of project management experience.
• 2+ years supporting a data engineering team.
• Experience with core project management tools and techniques.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence.
• Ability to create user stories and epics.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant degrees and certifications.
• PMP certification.
• Bachelor's in Business Management, Information Technology, or similar.
• MBA.
