The Project Manager for Drug Product Development and Business Operations will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful management of scientific initiatives and projects within the organization. This position is hybrid, based in Lake County, and is expected to last for one year. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating all project management activities necessary to bring assigned projects to completion, which may include both strategic initiatives and process improvements. The role requires the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, each with scopes that may impact various sites within the organization. The Project Manager will drive matrixed cross-functional teams that include scientists and engineers, gathering the necessary inputs to develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive project plans. This includes tracking progress, holding team members accountable for measurable actions, and presenting project status updates to management and stakeholders during scheduled meetings. A deep understanding of project drivers, requirements, scenarios, and options is essential for success in this role. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in life sciences or a related scientific discipline, along with 4-6 years of experience in project management or process development. Strong organizational and planning skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication abilities, are critical. The Project Manager must be adept at planning, sequencing, scheduling, monitoring, controlling, and executing project plans, and should be capable of facilitating the resolution of complex scientific and business issues.
