About the position

Egan Company is seeking a skilled Project Manager in the Electrical Construction group to manage and execute mid-to-large scale projects ranging from $5M to $25M. The role involves overseeing project execution from start to finish, ensuring adherence to budget and time constraints while maintaining effective communication with clients and team members. The Project Manager will lead project teams, manage financial aspects, and promote a positive safety culture throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and handle mid- to large-sized projects competently ($5M - $25M).
  • Assume primary leadership responsibilities for each assigned project in partnership with the designated project superintendent.
  • Navigate and use Egan's project management systems and processes.
  • Conduct effective pre-planning meetings and maximize resources in the buyout process.
  • Direct a team through project execution, managing diverse expectations and opinions of all involved parties.
  • Evaluate the contractual scope of work and plan key project positions.
  • Initiate and maintain liaison with prime clients to coordinate scheduling activities.
  • Negotiate, prepare and issue subcontracts.
  • Monitor/control project development through administrative direction of on-site project superintendent.
  • Prepare, issue and update master project schedule and variance reports.
  • Manage all financial aspects of contracts to maintain profitability goals and positive cash flow.
  • Investigate potentially serious situations to circumvent problems or implement corrective measures.
  • Actively pursue additional work through change orders.
  • Ensure project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements and Egan standards.
  • Attend job progress meetings as required.
  • Develop and maintain viable long-term relationships with customers, consultants, and contractors.
  • Promote a positive safety culture by ensuring Egan's safety policies are followed.
  • Mentor assistant project managers as needed.

Requirements

  • 2-year associate's degree or bachelor's degree (or equivalent level of technical training and related construction experience).
  • 5+ years of construction/project management experience within the electrical industry.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and ability to quickly build relationships.
  • Strong understanding of all trades in the industry.
  • Outstanding organizational skills; able to handle competing and changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent MS Office and Google Suite skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with WTP / WWTP, Utility Scale Solar, or Data Center projects is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to outstate projects up to 50% of the time is preferred.
