This includes overseeing proposals, bids, project design, quality control, job scheduling, problem resolution, job completion, coordination, communication, and client satisfaction activities, all in alignment with the company's policies, procedures, key objectives, and regulations. The PM plays a crucial role in job estimating, managing project budgets, projections, and contracts, as well as job solicitation and project negotiations. Additionally, the PM may be responsible for training, mentoring, and providing work direction to other project team members. The PM maintains and manages submittal logs and provides staffing and account management support, customer service, and new business development as needed. The role requires the PM to document methods of procedure (MOPs) and ensure that all field personnel have the necessary materials, tools, plans, schedules, and directions for their work. The PM is also responsible for securing subcontractors, obtaining permits, procuring materials, and ensuring that all plans and documents are maintained in the appropriate systems. The PM conducts job start-up meetings with field operations leaders to transfer documentation and schedules, regularly attends project update meetings, and provides day-to-day direction to project foremen or superintendents. The PM partners with project team members to conduct job site inspections and safety audits, ensuring compliance with contract documents and the company's quality assurance and safety standards. The PM stays informed of new electrical and safety codes, materials, technologies, techniques, and practices, ensuring that all safety programs and OSHA requirements are followed. The role may also involve oversight of BIM and/or building design and construction phases, as well as assisting with civil construction projects and technologies construction projects. The PM consistently makes decisions in a safe manner to ensure the health and safety of all involved, utilizing LEAN concepts or other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
