About the position
The Project Manager for Energy, Sustainability & Infrastructure at Guidehouse will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating large programs for commercial and public sector clients. This position focuses on supporting energy, sustainability, and infrastructure initiatives, ensuring effective project planning, execution, and performance evaluation. The Project Manager will work closely with stakeholders to optimize program contributions towards climate and energy goals, while continuously improving the project experience for customers.
Responsibilities
- Leading project planning, budgeting, and overall strategy
- Establishing key performance indicators
- Monitoring and evaluating the overall project
- Analyzing project data and producing insights to optimize performance
- Identifying problems and shortfalls and proposing solutions
- Providing operational support such as liaising with stakeholders, tracking timelines, etc.
- Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining project documentation and reports
- Maintaining project contracts and financials
- Supporting the development and rollout of project management methodology, acting as a coach and change agent.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident due to nature of client engagements
- Bachelor's degree AND 5-7 years post-graduation work experience that must include project management and operations with US Power Utilities or Federal Civilian Agencies, or
- Master's degree AND 3-5 years post-graduation work experience that must include project management and operations with US Power Utilities or Federal Civilian Agencies
- Must have EM&V project experience for a US based power utilities organization, Utilities industry consulting firm or a Federal civilian agency
- Current PMP Certification
- Experience with stakeholder and financial management
- Knowledgeable in all phases of the project management life cycle
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with data analytics in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel as needed (~5%-10%)
- Ability to work onsite in a Guidehouse Office or Client Office location
- Currently reside in the contiguous United States.
