This position will be performed out of our Project Office location in New Orleans, Louisiana, where you will manage Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management activities on or near company properties. As a Project Manager, you will generally be responsible for residential and commercial construction projects in the $10-$50M range. Your role will involve strategic planning and executing safety, engineering, procurement, construction, and customer service tasks of major capital projects for the company. You will be responsible for the scope, cost, schedule, safety, and quality associated with company projects, monitoring work performance and instituting cost controls for projects. Additionally, you will review and/or develop scopes of work for potential projects within the company and support Senior Project Managers in projects with a value in excess of $50M. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and building codes for both residential and commercial projects. You will need strong knowledge of project scheduling, cost estimating, budget management, and quality control in construction processes. Your ability to lead project teams, set clear project objectives, and monitor progress throughout all project phases will be crucial. Proficiency in using project management software and tools such as Primavera, Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar applications is essential. You will also need exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines effectively. Excellent leadership skills to motivate, mentor, and guide project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders are required, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate clear and concise communication with team members, clients, vendors, and management. In this role, you will be expected to analyze complex issues, develop solutions, and make informed decisions promptly. You should be capable of resolving conflicts and mitigating project risks while maintaining positive working relationships. Experience in budget management, cost control, and financial forecasting for construction projects is necessary, as well as the ability to create accurate project budgets, track expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings. You will also need in-depth knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and zoning requirements for both residential and commercial construction, along with experience liaising with relevant regulatory bodies to ensure projects adhere to all necessary legal and environmental standards. Your proven ability to contribute to the strategic planning process for new construction projects, including site selection, feasibility analysis, and project scope definition, will be key to your success in this position.
