About the position

The Project Manager (Entry Level) at Brooks Construction Company is responsible for managing and coordinating construction activities on assigned jobs, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This role involves daily administrative and field work, serving as a key point of contact for various stakeholders including customers, subcontractors, and internal teams. The Project Manager will oversee scheduling, quality control, and resource allocation to achieve profitable project completion.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise construction activities on assigned jobs.
  • Coordinate and facilitate resources to ensure high-quality job completion.
  • Interact with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal resources.
  • Work closely with field superintendents to schedule projects.
  • Review work plans and analyze drawings.
  • Solicit subcontractor/vendor quotes and prepare estimates.
  • Maintain detailed records for all INDOT work including reports and agreements.
  • Assist in bidding jobs and gathering pre-bid information.
  • Prepare documents for pre-construction meetings.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience at a construction company.
  • Associate's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Business, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related degree; or three years equivalent experience in construction.
  • Proven dependability, organization, problem solving, and adaptability skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Knowledge of road construction techniques and ability to understand state and county specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous hands-on construction experience in horizontal/civil construction is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
