About the position

As the Project Manager/Estimator, you will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from estimating costs to managing execution and delivery. This role is suited for an organized, detail-oriented professional with experience in project management and estimating within the drywall or construction industry. You will play a crucial role in securing new projects and ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to high standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for drywall projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Review project specifications and drawings to develop a clear scope of work and determine project needs.
  • Manage project schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other trade partners to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing questions, concerns, and any changes to project scope.
  • Monitor project progress through on-site visits, ensuring quality control and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and final project closeouts.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, architects, and general contractors to support ongoing and future business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management and estimating, specifically in the drywall or construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of drywall materials, methods, and construction standards.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff) and project management tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and permitting processes.
