The Project Manager Events at Freeman plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of events by applying industry knowledge to effectively communicate and harmonize the production requirements of Freeman's clients between sales and branch operations. This position is integral to improving efficiencies, controlling costs, and providing a smooth flow of information throughout the event lifecycle. The Project Manager will work closely with both sales and operations teams before, during, and after events to guarantee that all production requirements are met successfully. This role is particularly focused on supporting the Audio Visual and Event Technology team, and it offers a hybrid work schedule, typically requiring in-office and/or show-site presence 2-3 days per week. The ideal candidate can be based in one of several locations, including Dallas, TX, Las Vegas, NV, Chicago, IL, or Orlando, FL. In this position, the Project Manager will provide budgetary support during the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, offering technical advice and assisting sales in the budgetary and developmental phases of shows. Participation in site surveys is also a key responsibility to ensure proper planning of events. The Project Manager will be involved in the planning and implementation of operational activities for assigned events, attending weekly operations meetings to provide essential event information input. They will create and review CAD designs in accordance with company standards to ensure proper execution of events, and work with branch operations to complete production documentation, assess labor calls, and define equipment requirements. Additionally, the Project Manager will maintain a clear understanding of union jurisdictions and their application, review equipment requirements to determine personnel and labor schedules, and ensure that all labor requirements are submitted to the appropriate departments or labor sources. Supervising show site operational functions is essential to ensure timely and cost-effective performance. The Project Manager will communicate client objectives and operational plans to show-site staff, schedule pre-production meetings, and assist with their facilitation. Daily contact with on-site staff is necessary to document changes and updates as required, and the Project Manager will assist in scheduling and coordinating trucking arrangements. They will develop production schedules and facility arrangements for events, conduct event debrief meetings, and post-show meetings with the Customer Solutions Manager to review all purchase orders, labor costs, and equipment usage for accurate billing to the customer. Finally, the Project Manager will review purchase orders, approve associated invoices, and compile post-show reports, while also performing other duties as assigned.
