The Project Manager-EVSE position will manage and lead the delivery of transportation electrification projects, including the planning and design of fleet electrification, public charging infrastructure, transit electrification, workplace charging, as well as the design of charging infrastructure installation. This position will also be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships and proactively researching electric vehicle charging solutions to stay at the forefront of the industry as it continues to evolve and grow. Our ideal candidate will have knowledge in multiple areas, such as EVs (light, medium and heavy-duty), EV charging hardware, EV charging software including load management, electrical systems planning and design, resiliency & distributed energy resources, electric rate tariffs, fleet operations and planning, applicable policies and regulations, and financial incentives for EVs and EVSE including grants and rebates. In this role, you will manage transportation electrification projects of varying complexity including multi-disciplinary scope, schedule, budget, and staffing allocation. You will perform various EV design tasks inside facilities and outdoor settings, such as siting equipment, conducting field visits, recommending charger types/sizes, developing budgetary cost estimates, creating concept design layouts, preparing load letters, and coordinating with the utility for new or improved electrical services. You will also develop, oversee, and review the preparation of final design plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for projects that may include fleet operations, EV charging hardware, and electrical systems. Additionally, you will lead zero emissions design projects, oversee the preparation of planning and design project efforts, and attend and lead client and project team meetings to provide project updates, resolve planning and design issues, and coordinate design elements with other disciplines. Building relationships with clients and teaming partners, mentoring junior staff in their professional growth, and supporting the pursuit of new projects in partnership with our leadership team are also key responsibilities of this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 7 years of related experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years project management experience.
  • Ability to interact with various design teams.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to being an active participant in the employee-owned culture.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • A/E Industry project management or task lead experience.
  • Understanding of electrical design related to AC and DC charging.
  • Working knowledge of industry best practices and regulations.
