About the position

The Functional Project Manager will assist the NYC Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) in implementing datacenter technologies for key IT projects. This role requires relevant experience in routing, switching, and datacenter technologies, focusing on architecture design planning and implementation of changes.

Responsibilities

• Participate and manage assigned elements of large IT infrastructure projects related to datacenter technologies.
• Propose datacenter technology solutions to meet business requirements while adhering to OTI's best practices guidelines.
• Collaborate with OTI's Architect team, program management, and business stakeholders to address any unique aspects of the proposed solutions.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of project management experience implementing datacenter technologies for key IT projects.
• Experience in routing and switching, and datacenter technologies is required.
• Expert level competence with ACI technology.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes, Azure, AWS, VMware, Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Azure DevOps, and Pipelines.
• Experience with Bash and/or PowerShell scripting.
• At least 1 primary coding language such as Python, NodeJS, or Golang.
