About the position

Merrick & Company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead innovative facility design projects primarily for military and government clients. The role involves ensuring client satisfaction and profitability for architecture and engineering design projects, managing budgets up to $50 million, and coordinating design efforts across multiple disciplines. The position supports a hybrid work schedule after training and is based in various locations including Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client satisfaction and profitability for architecture and engineering design projects.
• Prepare and validate proposed scope of work with clients.
• Establish project design budget and schedule.
• Coordinate internal communication and design efforts to meet schedules.
• Prepare fee proposals for full-service design work.
• Review design documents for compliance with company standards and client scope of work.
• Prepare external communication and invoices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution or a Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Ten years of combined experience in designing and managing medium to large sized multi-discipline facility projects.
• Extensive knowledge of working with federal government organizations such as the US Air Force and NASA.
• Proficiency in managing clients and project management for A-E firms.
• Proficiency with MS Office and experience managing full-service design projects in Revit BIM.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional licensure (PE/RA) is strongly desired.
• LEED Accreditation and PMP certification is desired.
• Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is preferred.
