About the position

The Project Manager for the Family History Department at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is responsible for leading a team of product marketers to support the development and launch of FamilySearch products. This full-time temporary position lasts for 6 months and focuses on managing project scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring effective communication and collaboration across teams. The role aims to enhance the user experience for members engaging with FamilySearch products, particularly in relation to temple ordinances.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of product marketers to support FamilySearch initiatives.
  • Organize resources to meet project requirements and objectives.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget for various projects.
  • Ensure adherence to Church processes and policies.
  • Act as a project generalist, managing a range of project types including web and mobile.
  • Engage in end-to-end management when multiple deliverables are involved.
  • Provide product marketing support to engineering teams.
  • Manage and report on the successful launch of new global products.
  • Represent FamilySearch products at the RootsTech event in SLC, Utah.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management (7+ years preferred) or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience.
  • Experience in developing strategic plans for campaigns and product marketing launches.
  • Solid understanding of audiences, messages, and benefits.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred experience leading a product marketing or marketing team.
  • Preferred experience working with engineering teams.
  • Preferred knowledge of FamilySearch products and experiences.
