Cérélia / US Waffle is seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Liberty, South Carolina. This role is pivotal in managing innovation projects within the food manufacturing sector, specifically focusing on our diverse product lineup that includes waffles, pancakes, and pancake bites. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in food manufacturing, and will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to drive product development initiatives. This position requires a proactive approach to customer engagement, project leadership, and innovation management, ensuring that our products not only meet but exceed customer expectations. As a Project Manager, you will work closely with the business development manager and sales team to understand customer needs and market trends. Your role will involve leading teams through all stages of product development, from concept ideation to commercialization, while developing and executing project plans that align with business objectives. You will also collaborate with R&D teams to drive product innovation, providing input on product concepts and packaging solutions. Your expertise in packaging design and sustainability will be crucial in optimizing our product packaging solutions, enhancing both product appeal and functionality. In addition to project management, you will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across departments. Your analytical mindset will be essential in conducting market research and leveraging consumer insights to inform product strategy. Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the business development manager and sales team to understand customer needs, preferences, and market trends.

  • Work closely with R&D teams to drive product innovation and development.
  • Identify market opportunities, conduct market research, and stay abreast of industry trends.
  • Utilize expertise in packaging design, materials, and sustainability to optimize product packaging solutions.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including R&D, marketing, operations, and sales teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Business, Packaging Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in product management or related roles within the food industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Background in packaging design, materials, or engineering preferred.
  • Knowledge of food industry regulations, quality standards, and food safety principles.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in market research, data analysis, and financial analysis.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a customer-centric approach to product development.
