About the position

The Project Manager (PM) will lead and execute projects in support of the Gilchrist & Soames Business Plan, overseeing the lifecycle of each project from initiation to completion. The PM will coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success, focusing on delivering projects on-time, within budget, and in compliance with global standards. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute end-to-end project management from kick-off to final design execution.
  • Develop and manage detailed project levels, including profits and losses, and create SOPs to streamline processes.
  • Interface with Global PD team and Subject Matter Experts to ensure compliance with design and formulation requirements.
  • Manage multiple simultaneous creative projects, ensuring adherence to project management best practices.
  • Monitor and manage project scope, documenting changes and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Schedule and lead project-related meetings, engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Mitigate problems and critical issues by executing effective solutions.
  • Gather requirements and align project scope with internal and external sponsors.
  • Assess project design objectives and develop strategic paths for efficiency and success.
  • Work with PM leadership to apply global best practices for project visibility and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Sciences, Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
  • 5 - 7 years of Project Management experience in Health and Beauty manufacturing or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience managing new product development projects from idea to market launch.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven influence in cross-functional teams.
  • Business and Financial Acumen required.
  • Proven ability to resolve conflict and lead through ambiguity.
  • Strong MS Office suite skills, particularly MS Project.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree, MBA, or other relevant advanced degree.
  • PM certification or other documented intra-company certification/training.
  • Experience working in a contract manufacturing setting.
