About the position

The Project Manager position at Turner & Townsend involves overseeing the full lifecycle of commercial real estate construction projects, particularly in the hospitality sector. The role requires a proactive approach to ensure client objectives are met through effective project management services, maintaining quality standards, and fostering strong relationships with clients and team members. The Project Manager will be responsible for monitoring project progress, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist project lead to ensure that client objectives are met through effective Project Management service.
  • Ensure commissions are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and cross-functional team members.
  • Monitor and document project progress and other performance indicators.
  • Provide document control assurance and lead management of project information flow.
  • Prepare Project Management progress reports and other key documentation for clients.
  • Act as a key interface across all stakeholders, liaising with clients, consultants, end users, and authorities.
  • Support project planning, including production of the detailed project delivery charter.
  • Establish effective project governance, processes, and systems throughout the project.
  • Lead and facilitate project scope elements and engage with cross-functional project teams.
  • Manage the flow of project information between the team and the client through regular meetings and written communications.
  • Maintain meeting minutes and associated documentation.
  • Support post-contract commercial control and manage the change control process.
  • Monitor overall project finances and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and participate in ISO audits.
  • Conduct background research, data collection, and benchmarking, presenting findings to team members.
  • Ensure key information and learning from each commission is inputted into internal databases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management or equivalent professional experience in the design and construction of commercial buildings.
  • 3-5 years of project management experience in the delivery of commercial projects, with hospitality experience required.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • Florida construction experience preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Experience in the consulting realm is a plus.
