About the position

The Project Manager role at Hatch involves managing, coordinating, and administering projects throughout all delivery stages of the project lifecycle. This includes project definition, setup, execution, monitoring, controlling, and final closing. The position is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered within scope, cost, and schedule while adhering to safety, quality, and environmental best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a mentor for the implementation of Hatch safety standards to contractors.
  • Develop and obtain sign-off from the client on the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and Client's Requirement Specification.
  • Develop and resource an appropriate organization structure for the project team.
  • Provide leadership to the project and create a committed team environment.
  • Ensure governance on the project, specifically compliance with Hatch and client policies and procedures.
  • Authorize all commitments of expenditure on the project and approve payment of invoices.
  • Develop a detailed scope, cost, and schedule control baseline, managing any project changes accordingly.
  • Obtain client's acceptance of the work and sign-off for the completed project.
  • Prepare and submit the final project closeout report and ensure prompt closeout of the prime contract.
  • Establish and manage the invoicing process with the client to ensure efficient payment processes.
  • Ensure compliance with the project Environmental and Safety Management Plan.
  • Maintain strong communications with the client and project team.

Requirements

  • University degree in engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • 10 years' experience in Project Management for an EPCM company.
  • Greater than ten years' experience in cross-functional leadership roles in a project delivery environment.
  • Ability to evaluate, understand, apply, grow, and mentor the Hatch team including various project-related disciplines.
  • Experience in managing multi-discipline projects.
  • Experience in engineering, procurement, and construction, and understanding their interfaces and interdependencies.
  • Broad knowledge of industry standards.
  • Project performance monitoring and reporting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Mechanical/Electrical, Civil, or Process engineering qualification.
  • Working knowledge of engineering, project control systems, Procurement/Contracting, and construction management.
  • Business development skills, especially proposal lead experience.
