About the position

The Project Manager will lead the implementation of a new performance management system at Macmillan Publishing, collaborating with various teams to ensure successful deployment and user adoption. This contract role is expected to last approximately 6 to 8 months and involves strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, system configuration, training, and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a detailed project plan, including milestones, timelines, and resources required.
  • Establish clear objectives and success metrics for system implementation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Macmillan's teams (T&D, HRIS, IT) and the system vendor, Lattice.
  • Facilitate regular update meetings to ensure all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Guide the customization of the performance management system to meet Macmillan's needs.
  • Lead the testing phase for each module to identify and resolve system issues before full-scale deployment.
  • Create and deliver training sessions to prepare Macmillan employees for the new system.
  • Provide ongoing support to users during the initial post-implementation phase.
  • Monitor the system's performance and user feedback to ensure objectives are being met.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports to Macmillan leadership.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably with implementing enterprise wide Performance Management, HRIS or LMS systems.
  • Experience with implementing Lattice preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Expertise in change management strategies and training material development.

Benefits

  • Hourly salary of up to $50/hour, depending on experience.
