About the position

ChristianaCare is searching for a Project Manager to lead complex, value-added projects within Human Resources. This position will develop project plans and timelines and bring together resources as needed. The Project Manager will also work with all HR Centers of Excellence and many functional areas throughout ChristianaCare as well as engage with internal stakeholders to evaluate and implement tools to transform processes to create value for our caregivers. The role is pivotal in ensuring that projects align with the strategic goals of the organization and contribute to the overall improvement of health outcomes and operational efficiency. In this role, the Project Manager will manage multiple projects while monitoring and reporting status to the HR Portfolio Manager and key stakeholders. They will act as a strong leader and facilitator in the development and implementation of work processes, identifying, sharing, and making recommendations to create and implement operational best practices within the department. This includes follow-up and tracking processes to ensure expected outcomes are achieved. The Project Manager will assess the audience and determine the appropriate level of information to be communicated in project updates, effectively influencing processes, redesign, outcomes, and behaviors to complete assignments in a timely and quality-focused manner. The Project Manager will plan work to be done in concert with the needs of ChristianaCare and HR departmental leadership, clearly defining opportunities and the purpose of projects. They will collaborate with stakeholders to scope and direct projects, develop, maintain, and revise work plans, identify tasks, assign resources, and manage project plans and checklists to successfully complete tasks to meet agreed-upon deadlines. The role requires the ability to clearly delineate task predecessors, critical path, and required resources to ensure smooth project progress. Additionally, the Project Manager will lead project teams from design implementation to completion, ensuring that all goals and objectives are met throughout the process. They will prepare, analyze, and present detailed data and project-related information to support the oversight of the HR portfolio, and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple projects while monitoring and reporting status to HR Portfolio Manager and key stakeholders.
  • Acts as a strong leader/facilitator in the development and implementation of work processes, identifying, sharing, and making recommendations to create and implement operational best practices within the department.
  • Assesses audience and determines appropriate level of information to be communicated in project updates.
  • Effectively and efficiently influences processes, redesign, outcomes and behaviors to complete assignments in a timely and quality focused manner.
  • Plans work to be done in concert with the needs of CCHS and HR departmental leadership.
  • Clearly defines opportunities and purpose of projects.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to scope and direct projects.
  • Develops, maintains and revises work plans.
  • Identifies tasks and assigns resources and manages project plans and checklists to successfully complete tasks to meet agreed upon deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years' experience managing and/or leading projects.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams with limited supervision using multiple project management techniques.
  • Experience in Human Resources preferred.
  • LSS or PMP certification preferred.
