About the position

The Project Manager I (PM I) at Eurofins Scientific is responsible for coordinating and managing client projects throughout all phases of laboratory operations. This includes project setup, maintenance, communication of analytical issues, client account management, reporting, invoicing, and ensuring compliance with project requirements. The role emphasizes fostering client relationships and supporting the laboratory's mission to ensure safety and quality in analytical testing services.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage client projects through all phases of laboratory operations.
• Set up projects in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Review project documentation and add it to the central repository.
• Manage purchase orders, task orders, contracts, and change order requests.
• Communicate project details to operations and engage work share labs as needed.
• Create bottle orders and schedule couriers or field samplers.
• Manage incoming work for rush and short holds, resolving log-in issues with clients.
• Review and confirm client-specific report requirements and manage due dates.
• Generate and review invoices before issuing to clients.
• Work with Client Services Manager (CSM) to communicate lab capabilities to clients.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Chemistry/Sciences or related field (four years related experience may substitute for a degree).
• 6 months of client-relationship/customer service experience.
• Prefer some bench chemist or field experience.
• Requires additional lab training in methods and QA across multiple departments.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective time management and strong organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge of the LIMS.
