About the position

The Project Manager I at Systems Control will oversee various projects within the Integrated Substation Solutions team, ensuring exceptional customer service and managing project scope, cost, and delivery expectations. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality and efficiency of energy solutions from design to manufacturing, contributing to the company's mission of providing reliable energy infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers, providing updates on project status.
  • Manage assigned projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to schedules and margins.
  • Interpret customer specifications to provide compliant designs, focusing on quality and timelines.
  • Ensure quality drawing packages are released to manufacturing.
  • Create Bills of Materials (BOMs), maintain project schedules, and update quality control forms.
  • Identify areas for product and process improvements.
  • Work safely around energized electrical enclosures.
  • Travel for customer visits, approximately 10% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering-related field or an Associate's Degree with a Utility Systems Certificate.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a related engineering role, co-op, or internship, or 5 years of experience in project management at Systems Control.
  • Knowledge of the company's product offerings and customer needs.
  • Basic understanding of AC and DC circuits.
  • Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
