About the position

The Technical Project Manager I will oversee large, complex wireless projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This role involves managing third-party vendors, coordinating project plans, schedules, and budgets, and providing necessary reporting. The Project Manager will also engage with local municipalities for zoning and permitting processes, while maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Project manage large, complex wireless projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.
  • Maintain and monitor project plans and schedules in Site Tracker and other databases.
  • Manage third-party vendors performing site acquisition and Architectural and Engineering tasks.
  • Negotiate, draft, and secure entitlement documentation such as leases, licenses, and easements.
  • Meet with local municipalities to facilitate zoning and permitting processes.
  • Analyze communications and requests from customers and subcontractors to determine necessary actions.
  • Update management and stakeholders on project status.
  • Organize and participate in stakeholder meetings, documenting important actions and decisions.
  • Prepare presentation materials for meetings.
  • Ensure adherence to defined processes and procedures, maintaining appropriate documentation for each project.
  • Assess project risks and issues, providing solutions where applicable.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of wireless telecom project management experience
  • Strong skills in MS Word, advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of telecommunications/wireless project management, vendor management, and budgeting
  • Demonstrate customer service orientation with a strong problem-solving approach
  • Ability to meet or exceed deadlines with strong follow-through
  • Ability to organize and prioritize activities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Site Tracker and/or other project management databases
