About the position

The Project Manager I - Technical role involves overseeing large and complex wireless telecom projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. The position requires strong project management skills, vendor management, and the ability to navigate the telecommunications landscape effectively. The role emphasizes customer service, problem-solving, and collaboration with various stakeholders to achieve project goals.

Responsibilities

  • Project manage large, complex wireless projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.
  • Maintain and monitor project plans and schedules in SiteTracker and other databases.
  • Manage third-party vendors performing site acquisition and Architectural and Engineering tasks.
  • Negotiate, draft, and secure entitlement documentation such as leases, licenses, and easements.
  • Meet with local municipalities to facilitate zoning, permitting, and address wireless site design challenges.
  • Analyze communications and requests from customers, support departments, and subcontractors to determine necessary actions.
  • Update management team and stakeholders on project status.
  • Collaborate with functional business divisions, boundary partners, and other project managers to define project priorities and resources.
  • Organize, attend, and participate in stakeholder meetings; document and follow up on important actions and decisions.
  • Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings.
  • Ensure adherence to defined processes and procedures, maintaining appropriate documentation for each project.
  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of wireless telecom project management experience.
  • Strong skills in MS Word, advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of telecommunications/wireless project management, vendor management, and budgeting.
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation with a strong problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to meet or exceed deadlines with strong follow-through.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive data.
