About the position

The Project Manager I at Builders FirstSource is responsible for providing project management oversight and direction to ensure the success of a limited number of initiatives. This role involves developing project implementation plans that align with business goals, collaborating with management, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within scope.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules and tracks project timelines, milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools.
• Estimates resources and participants needed to achieve project goals and determines the need for additional staff and/or consultants and makes appropriate request for additional personnel.
• Manages relationships across organization and divisions to develop a thorough understanding of core business functions and align project with overall business objectives.
• Conducts quality assurance audits in support of project quality plan including project post-mortem assessments and suggest improvements in process and/or procedure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• Two years of experience in project management or related field specific to the assigned project(s) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
