About the position

The Project Manager I position at CECO involves overseeing project documentation and coordination within the newly acquired Compass Water Solutions business platform. This role is crucial for ensuring effective communication and collaboration among Sales, Engineering, Finance, and Management teams to respond to RFQs and manage project documentation requirements. The Project Manager will also establish standards for operations manuals and provide engineering assistance across departments, contributing to CECO's mission of environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Sales, Engineering, Finance and Management to respond to RFQs.
  • Establish a Project documentation management system including a Generic Documentation Library with necessary forms and certifications.
  • Utilize Project Management tools and control Document Control Procedure for project documentation.
  • Attend kick-off meetings for project-specific jobs.
  • Research new components or items needed for projects and provide information to the Engineering Manager.
  • Establish a standard for O&M manuals and implement it for all products.
  • Conduct review meetings with management and departments to track project status and requirements.
  • Provide engineering assistance regarding interpretation of drawings and operation of Compass systems.
  • Prepare Operations Manuals and FAT tests as required.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Engineering Degree preferred
  • Project background or equivalent work experience preferred.
