About the position

The Project Manager I at Landmark Construction LLC is responsible for supervising and coordinating the completion of large construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. This role involves managing all aspects of a project, including cost control, schedule management, and maintaining relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. The Project Manager I also plays a key role in communication between various departments and ensuring that project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the completion of a project on time and within budget.
  • Manage all aspects of a single large project including cost control and schedule management.
  • Ensure day-to-day functions of the project are completed without errors or omissions.
  • Maintain good internal working relationships with Development, Design, and Preconstruction departments.
  • Examine all construction documents for completeness and compliance with codes.
  • Ensure project management team members understand their duties and responsibilities.
  • Communicate project-specific information to field and management teams.
  • Initiate and maintain all required project schedules and tools.
  • Procure materials, tools, and equipment needed for the project.
  • Control and forecast project costs accurately throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review and process payment applications for subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare project status reports and documentation for compliance and progress.
  • Coordinate punch-out, pre-final, and final acceptances of the project.
  • Document substandard performance by subcontractors as required.
  • Develop direct reports through performance monitoring and mentoring.
  • Ensure proper project turnover to Operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in residential and mixed-use building construction.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Science, Architecture, Business Administration or relevant major preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of direct supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in scheduling and job cost software (Primavera/P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, Prolog, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, plans, and financial reports.
