About the position

The Project Manager II, Implementation and Sustainment role at Walmart is a pivotal position that focuses on leading and managing projects within the Supply Chain sector. This position is responsible for developing tools that support project initiatives, such as feedback collection and gap identification tools. The Project Manager will identify and determine the requirements for these tools, gather and analyze relevant data, design and format the tools, and implement the finalized products. Additionally, the role involves tracking usage and feedback, addressing or escalating issues as necessary, and maintaining tools and reports to ensure project success. In this role, the Project Manager will lead large projects or multiple medium-sized projects by defining the scope and objectives, working closely with business units to identify goals, success criteria, assumptions, risks, and known issues. The Project Manager will coordinate planning activities, develop and implement resource plans, monitor budgets and costs, manage changes to the project plans, and ensure adherence to established project standards. Analyzing business efficiencies for Walmart Central Operations' sustainment and implementation projects is also a key responsibility, utilizing various analytical methodologies to develop creative solutions that reduce costs or meet business goals. The Project Manager will provide expert advice and guidance to others, supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs while building relationships with key stakeholders. This role requires a commitment to compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as a strong focus on fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Project Manager will also be expected to demonstrate servant leadership, embrace change, and deliver results while putting the customer first. Overall, this position plays a crucial role in driving project success and supporting Walmart's mission and values.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Arts, Sciences, Business, or related field and 2 years' experience in project management, operations management, or related field OR 4 years' experience in project management, operations management, or related field.
  • Associates must complete all job-required trainings and assessments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in developing reporting, database, and/or feedback tools.
  • Experience leading a cross-functional team.
  • Proficiency in writing queries, report automation, or related fields such as SQL queries or Microsoft Excel macro development.
