About the position

The Project Manager II - IT/Automation Operational Readiness role at Novo Nordisk involves managing multiple projects within the Fill & Finish Expansions (FFEx) department. This position is responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all specified requirements. The role requires collaboration with various teams and stakeholders to drive project success and implement modern technology in aseptic production facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously across various business units.
  • Lead multi-disciplined project teams to complete projects on-time and on-budget.
  • Develop and execute project plans in accordance with scope, schedule, quality, impact, and cost objectives.
  • Negotiate staffing requirements and assist with training personnel for project support.
  • Provide project cash flow projections to support budget cycles.
  • Refine business cases with project owners and sponsors.
  • Establish and communicate quantifiable project benefits.
  • Manage and coordinate contract and internal resources effectively.
  • Refine project scope through early analysis with subject matter experts.
  • Monitor and control project work, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget compliance.
  • Report project progress to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Support project manager mentoring and onboarding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical Science field required; or an Associate's degree with 7 years of project management experience; or a High School Diploma with 9 years of project management experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven project management experience, including leading change management and major capital expenditure projects.
  • Excellent writing, oral communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in both technical and non-technical areas.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.
  • Advanced Project Management competencies through training or experience.
  • Knowledge of GMP concepts and Lean principles in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of product documentation and standard operating procedures.
