About the position

As a Project Manager II at The Boldt Company, you will oversee the development and implementation of rigging and machine installation projects for industrial and automotive clients. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and effective communication, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will lead a project team, manage client relationships, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of project development from concept to implementation and commissioning.
  • Engage in day-to-day safety activities and implement the Safety Culture Improvement Plan.
  • Lead communication efforts for internal and external project reporting.
  • Coordinate with architects, subcontractors, and clients to resolve project issues.
  • Empower and lead a high-performance project team, mentoring assistant project managers and engineers.
  • Ensure comprehensive understanding of contract documents and lead the Quality Management System implementation.
  • Lead scheduling, production strategies, and procurement processes to align with project milestones.
  • Negotiate change orders and manage project budget and estimates.
  • Participate in risk management and ensure compliance with contract documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a relevant field.
  • Seven or more years of experience in rigging and machine installation.
  • Solid understanding of construction equipment, techniques, and applicable standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and assume responsibility for project outcomes.
  • Understanding of project delivery, financial data, and lean process improvement techniques.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with project management software.
  • Knowledge of additional construction management techniques.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
