About the position

The Project Manager II for Terminal Improvements at Cordoba Corporation is responsible for supporting the Project Manager in overseeing the design and construction activities for the Terminal 4/5 Modernization project. This role involves managing project scope, schedule, and operational interfaces to enhance passenger processing and connectivity at the airport. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure project goals are met efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison and airport/owner representative for the project.
  • Manage project scope development and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Develop RFPs and oversee the procurement process for designers and contractors.
  • Ensure on-schedule project completion within budget and contractual obligations.
  • Plan and define program goals, developing knowledge of owner objectives and airport policies.
  • Supervise execution of all technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project.
  • Collaborate with team members and airport management to develop budgets and schedules.
  • Oversee the owner's staff managing full project delivery and stakeholder interfaces.
  • Maintain documentation on the approved scope of work, including agreements and specifications.
  • Manage the design process and oversee the Design Review Team (DRT) through all phases of design.
  • Monitor the permitting process required by the design team and contractor.
  • Oversee the construction process to mitigate inefficiencies and ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Prepare reports summarizing construction progress for senior management.
  • Review change proposals for compliance and alignment with market value.
  • Participate in coordination meetings with designers, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Manage the project closeout process to ensure timely completion without unnecessary costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Aviation, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience, preferably on airport projects.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager and Technical/Construction Leader in an active environment.
  • Knowledge of design and construction contracting practices and methodologies.
  • Experience in the project design life cycle from concept to closeout.
  • Ability to conduct field surveys and investigations to capture accurate field conditions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience with projects valued over $50 million.
  • Familiarity with CAD or REVIT.
