About the position

The Project Manager III at Johns Hopkins Health Plans is responsible for leading significant, enterprise-wide projects that involve large budgets and cross-functional teams. This role focuses on the design, testing, planning, and implementation of complex projects that transform business processes. The Project Manager will engage with various stakeholders and manage multiple projects within the IT Department, ensuring successful project delivery from concept to implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, testing, planning, and implementation of complex projects.
  • Manage one or more projects within the IT Department.
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Engage with stakeholders including business sponsors, business analysts, and program managers.
  • Drive projects from original concept through final implementation.
  • Focus on initiatives that help to run and grow the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Administration, Project Management, or related field required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years providing project or team leadership.
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience working on projects involving project life cycle methodologies.
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience managing project budgets.
  • Professional (PMP) or equivalent project/program management certification preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Quality Management, Planning and Administrative theory, and Customer Service Theory.
  • Experience with Agile project management practices.
